From what I hearing around the web, one most buzzed about movies at this year’s Comic-Con (that didn’t involve a marvel character) was Joseph Kosinski’s "Tron 2.0" (then titled "Tr2n"), Disney’s sequel to their 1982 technology classic.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Turistas" stars Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett are the first to sign on for "Tron 2.0."
Plot details are being kept close to the chest by producers, but Wilde will play a worker in the virtual world who tries to help fight Master Control Program, the villainous intelligence protocol that was the nemesis in the original. Garrett will play a siren in the virtual world and there were little details on Wilde’s character.
"Tron 2.0" is scheduled to start shooting this spring, and the hunt is on for the male lead. MTV’s Movie Blog reports that Jeff Bridges will return in his 1982 role of Kevin Flynn, and that he will probably be dealing with a younger opponent in some capacity.
